Busted!

Havnt been on in awhile, kinda busy but something happened the other day that I just have to share.

I was in a casino playing blackjack and yes of course i was counting, and the one dealer made it so easy to cause he was an older man and he dealt so slow and then it happened. A guy came over to me from the pit area and tapped me on the shoulder. "yeah, whats up man?" is all i said at first and he just goes I'm gonna have to ask you to come over here for a second. I finished my hand and followed him over to an area where it was pretty clear of people and he told me that what i was doing can really cause problems for a casino and that there not going to kick me out, but if they catch me playing blackjack in there casino again that they will boot me out for good and my picture will be added to a data base. Now i honestly didn't think it was that easy to get caught counting but i guess you learn from your mistakes right?

Luckily online casinos cant see what I'm doing so its all good there :).

BlacJack: When to Split

Splitting: Splitting means you can play both cards as there own hand, increases your starting bet and allowing you to earn extra money. Example: If you have two fours then you can "split" them and then try to get both the fours as close to 21 as you can, each 4 having there owning bet on them, meaning if you win both hands then you win double your starting bet.

General Rules of splitting.

Always split aces.
Always split eights.
Never split fours, fives or tens.
Split twos and threes only when the dealer has four through seven.
Split sixes when the dealer has three through six.
Split sevens when the dealer has two through seven.
Split nines when the dealer has two through six, and eight or nine.

Now remember this is only a general guideline, you can always take chances and sometimes it pays out. For example if a dealer has a 6 up its a bust card, because most likely he has 16 and will have to hit. Now it says to never split tens, but in this case it may be alright because you can end up staying on a 14 with one of them and still have a good chance the dealer will bust and you will get paid out more, its all about how you wanna play in the end.

The Game of BlackJack

Here you go again a greatly detailed blackjack guide for everyone to read and learn.

"The rules of blackjack are quite simple, which is a major reason for the game's enduring popularity. The object is to get a hand with a value as close to 21 as possible without going over. A hand that goes over 21 is a bust. The players at a blackjack table do not play against each other; they play against the dealer. Each player only has to beat the dealer's hand.

In blackjack, the suits have no meaning. Number cards have a value equal to their number, while all the picture cards (Jacks, Queens, and Kings) are worth 10. Aces can be worth 11 or one, whichever is more beneficial to the person holding the hand. For example, a hand with an Ace and an Eight is worth 19 (the Ace is valued at 11, known as a soft Ace). A hand with an Ace, a Four, and a Nine is worth 14 (the Ace is valued at one, known as a hard Ace, because if it were valued at 11 the hand would bust)."
